Perfect for canning!
These work great for retrieving jars from boiling water and for packing jars with pickles, etc into jars. Much better than the standard kitchen tongs I had been using.
Typical kitchen tongs but a fabulous red color
I needed tongs, seems like I use 2 or 3 at every meal. So I bought 3 of this tongs in red. Looks good in my kitchen implement container and I can find them quickly. I recommend these tongs.

These tongs serve their purpose. I guess I expected them to be a little sturdier, but they work as you would expect.
