It works, but it's no shining star.
I needed a larger colander to handle larger quantities of pasta for "family style" cooking. Obviously, the price was the determining factor in choosing this colander. The size is great, but the metal is very thin and flimsy. It flexes at the connection with the base when you fill the colander. There are not quite enough holes to drain water completely, so you really need to give it a few good shakes to shake water out of pasta. For the price, I'll deal with it, but I'm not convinced that this will hold up for long-term use. Next time, I'll suck it up and pay for the good one.
better taste
Food taste better in a steel Colander then a plastic one, because of the germs. And the food taste better.
Wrong picture
When I bought this I throught I was getting 3 like in the picture but I only get one that lok like it had been use!!!!! Dont buy from these people!!!
